Nairobi – Masai Mara – Nakuru – Amboseli – Tsavo West – Tsavo East – Diani

Day 1 – Nairobi

Arrive in the capital city of Nairobi and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at The Nairobi Tamarind Tree Hotel (BB)

Day 2 – Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve

Drive past the extinct volcano of Mt. Longonot and Suswa into the homelands of the Masai. The Masai Mara constitutes the northern stretch of the Serengeti and has the richest concentration of animals in Kenya. In the afternoon, you have the opportunity to observe the unique world of the Masai Mara. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar (FB)

Day 3 – Masai Mara Game Reserve

You spend the full day on game drives through the tremendous fauna of the Masai Mara searching for the “Big Five”: (Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard). Dinner and overnight at Mara  Mara  Sopa or similar (FB)

Day 4 – Masai Mara Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park

Your journey takes you straight to Lake Nakuru, which is known for its sensational flamingos and pelicans. The park also boasts over 30 rhinos as well as a large population of leopards. After lunch in Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge enjoy an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar (FB)

Day 5 – Lake Nakuru National Park – Samburu Game Reserve

Drive across the Great Rift Valley and then past Mount Kenya to Shaba Game Reserve. This reserve is situated in the dry area of Northern Kenya, where the nomad tribes, the Samburus, the Rendilles and the Boran live. After lunch you will encounter the amazing landscape of the Samburu Game Reserve. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge or similar (FB)

Day 6 – Samburu Game Reserve

Full day game drives in this beautiful area known for its gravy zebras and the gerenuk gazelles. You then take a game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro river, the only source of water for this dry park. Dinner and overnight in Samburu Sopa Lodge or similar (FB)

Day 7 – Shaba Game Reserve – OlPejeta Wildlife Conservancy

After breakfast depart and drive past Mt. Kenya towards Nanyuki. Enter OlPejeta Conservancy for game drive on route to Sweet-waters Tented Camp. Lunch followed by afternoon game drive and visit to Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Overnight at Sweet-waters Tented Camp (FB)

Day 8 – OlPejeta Wildlife Conservancy – Nairobi

Transfer to Nairobi in the morning to connect end your safari or connect another Southern Cross Safaris itinerary.
